MenuMasterguard Electroplating Lines Documentation

This is the Production Lines Menu that is displayed when you double click the Clock Icon on the desktop of the three computers that this software is loaded on. There is one in the Control Room overlooking the lines, and there are two more enclosed in the cases down on the lines. On the computers downstairs note that the mice are located on a sliding tray under the keyboard drawer.

The computer in the control room is connected to the Masterguard Network and therefore is password protected. (pnorth – pnorth).

To check the status of hoist 7 & 8, elevators, and the Storage areas: Click the Monitor Storage Queues / Elevators button.

From this screen you can easily see where the hoists (7-8) are currently located where they are heading and what they have. You can see the current commands and what mode they are running in. The shuttles are similar to the hoists but move along the green shuttle track representation at the bottom of the screen. You can set the process profile and bar information of a station position by clicking on either one of the station location buttons. That information is then transferred along with the movements of the contents, whether it is into a hoist, another storage area, a shuttle, a tank or an elevator.

Cloud Callout: Notice the legends for Hoist locations and destinationsCloud Callout: Click one of the locations to pull up the Change Screen below.Cloud Callout: Dou

Mapping

The screen(below) is where you can change the Process, Profile, and Bar information. Type in the Process number, select the Profile and Bar with the dropdown boxes and hit the Update PLC button.  Currently we are working on a method of transferring from one spot to another during normal operation.

Note: You can manually operate the hoist two ways: Semiautomatic and Manual. Semiautomatic will maintain the bar information, Manual mode does not maintain the bar information. Sometimes safety and necessity wont allow Semiautomatic operation and you must remap the bar that was moved in manual. Click on the storage area you just move a bar to and enter Process, Profile, and Bar.

By clicking the Transfer button you expose some additional controls which allow you to pick a location to move the contents of the location clicked on to where it needs to go. Select which side Line 1 or Line 2. then type the location. If you should decide against the move click the Cancel button before updating the PLC or just exit if you don’t have Process, Profile, or Bar information to update.

The Profile is made up of all the important rectifier, and tank times associated with a product. There is also a color for the Profile. So by looking at the storage areas or the tank locations it is easy to identify what is there.

Cloud Callout: These are useful when creating all of the profiles. They save typingCloud Callout: Identifies which profile is being displayed on the left side of screenCloud Callout: Detail info for each ProfileCloud Callout: Cloud Callout: First, Prior, Next, LastCloud Callout: All 50 Profiles

You have 16 default colors that you can choose from.

This shows the six hoists and 64 Tank locations associated with line 1.

This one displays the same as the last, only this is Line 2. Notice that they are numbered in mirror fashion.

This screen displays the Temperatures on Line 1.

Cloud Callout: If you click the textbox for the tank you want the temperature control will appear. Page 13

The same temperature monitoring is available for Line 2. Notice the tank numbers are reversed.

 Print Sample.

Cloud Callout: As we get more into Data Acquisition the features here will become more important. Please notice the ability to preview a report, but more important is the ability to export report data into an other format!!!

Cloud Callout: These different file options are quite diverse. Ie. You can export a report to Excel then you can draw a graph using the tools of Excel in conjunction with your data!

 Setup Company Parameters.

Cloud Callout: This isn’t in use at this time.

Setup Tab 2 Devices.

 Tab 2  Line 1 Hoist (1-6).

Cloud Callout: Each of these forms has an ADD and DELETE Button. Please be careful.Cloud Callout: All of these device forms are basically in the same format. Notice the Data Control on each form. The arrows allow you to move to the 1st , Prior, Next, or Last record.Cloud Callout: The 2nd Tab lets you see a grid of all of the devices in this table.Cloud Callout: Many of the X exit buttons have been disabled. This is by design and there is a Microsoft Bug behind it. In all of these occasions you will have a functioning Exit Button at your disposal.

Cloud Callout: By clicking your mouse on the heading separators you can resize a field.
Cloud Callout: Notice the Record Pointer. It shows you which record is the current record and displayed on the prior screen (Tab 1)

 Bar Edit.

Programming and simulation. Wow! I’m going to pass on writing this part for now. We should have a conversation about this part.

Running Setup on a new computer…On the 3 computers that this software is loaded on you should find a Setup Folder at the path C:\Kolbus\ProductionLine\Setup Setup.exe

I was told that this would be part of an everyday backup from the computer in the control room, because it’s on the Masterguard Network.

Cloud Callout: NOT this oneCloud Callout: This is the one you want to run. The one with the Computer Icon, the EXE. Not the other Setup file.

Click ok

This screen pops up…

Click Change Directory.

Point it to C:\Kolbus\ProductionLine. Then it goes back to this screen…

Click on the Computer Icon Button.

Click Continue

I think there’s one more ok, when it’s done.
