Documentation

This is the Production Lines Menu that is displayed when you double click the Clock Icon on the desktop of the three computers that this software is loaded on. There is one in the Control Room overlooking the lines, and there are two more enclosed in the cases down on the lines. On the computers downstairs note that the mice are located on a sliding tray under the keyboard drawer.
The computer in the control room is connected to the Masterguard Network and therefore is password protected. (pnorth pnorth).
To check the status of hoist 7 & 8, elevators, and the Storage areas: Click the Monitor Storage Queues / Elevators button.

From this screen you can easily see where the hoists (7-8) are currently located where they are heading and what they have. You can see the current commands and what mode they are running in. The shuttles are similar to the hoists but move along the green shuttle track representation at the bottom of the screen. You can set the process profile and bar information of a station position by clicking on either one of the station location buttons. That information is then transferred along with the movements of the contents, whether it is into a hoist, another storage area, a shuttle, a tank or an elevator.

The screen(below) is where you can change the Process, Profile, and Bar information. Type in the Process number, select the Profile and Bar with the dropdown boxes and hit the Update PLC button. Currently we are working on a method of transferring from one spot to another during normal operation.
Note: You can manually operate the hoist two ways: Semiautomatic and Manual. Semiautomatic will maintain the bar information, Manual mode does not maintain the bar information. Sometimes safety and necessity wont allow Semiautomatic operation and you must remap the bar that was moved in manual. Click on the storage area you just move a bar to and enter Process, Profile, and Bar.

By clicking the Transfer button you expose some additional controls which allow you to pick a location to move the contents of the location clicked on to where it needs to go. Select which side Line 1 or Line 2. then type the location. If you should decide against the move click the Cancel button before updating the PLC or just exit if you dont have Process, Profile, or Bar information to update.
The Profile is made up of all the important rectifier, and tank times associated with a product. There is also a color for the Profile. So by looking at the storage areas or the tank locations it is easy to identify what is there.

You have 16 default colors that you can choose from.

This shows the six hoists
and 64 Tank locations associated with line 1.

This one displays the same
as the last, only this is Line 2. Notice that they are numbered in mirror
fashion.

This screen displays
the Temperatures on Line 1.

Programming and simulation. Wow! Im going to
pass on writing this part for now. We should have a conversation about this
part.

Running Setup on a new computer On the 3 computers that this software is loaded on you should find a Setup Folder at the path C:\Kolbus\ProductionLine\Setup Setup.exe
I was told that this would be part of an everyday backup from the computer in the control room, because its on the Masterguard Network.

Click ok
This screen pops up

Click Change Directory.

Point it to C:\Kolbus\ProductionLine. Then it goes back to this screen

Click on the Computer Icon Button.

Click Continue
I think theres one more ok, when its done.
